Ms. Entisar Al Suwaidi is a prominent Kuwaiti banking and financial executive with over 36 years of leadership experience across the banking, payments, and financial services sectors. A graduate in Accounting from Kuwait University (1983), she has held several high-ranking roles, including General Manager, Vice Chairman, Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer in major Kuwaiti and regional institutions.
Ms. Al Suwaidi is the Chairperson and CEO of Universal Payment Services (UPS) since 2015, and was a founding leader of both UPS and Universal Financial Services (UFS) in Bahrain. She previously served as General Manager for Retail Banking at Kuwait International Bank (KIB), and held senior positions at Commercial Bank of Kuwait, Gulf Bank, and the Bank of Kuwait & the Middle East.
Notably, she served as a Board Director of Burgan Bank (2021–2022), where she was also a member of its Credit & Investment, and Recruitment & Nomination Committees. Ms. Al Suwaidi has contributed to several boards and strategic committees, including KAMCO, K-net, and the Kuwait Transparency Society. Her expertise spans Islamic finance, strategic planning, retail banking, and corporate governance.
She is recognized for her pioneering efforts in digital banking, her role in advancing Kuwaitization, and her strong advocacy for ethical financial practices.
